Let's go ahead and call this 'tempered noise' - a wash of extremely intentional static intersected with a subtle tonality. Despite being largely constructed of static, the album manages to feel both extremely organic and remarkably composed - a sensation akin to finding meaning in the competing gusts of a gale. Definitely worth the time to take a good long listen, as much of the albums strength reveals itself slowly.
